Hello friends!

Thanks for stopping by to check out my art. I feel like every day it heads in a new direction, but the one constant is my attempt to preserve memory. I feel like so much of our lives are made up of scattered snapshots of varying importance, but they add up to make us whole. In the modern culture of Instagram and a million takes to get the perfect picture, I want to elevate the imperfection of the simple moment in defining a memory. Whether it's a wedding photo or a blurry concert scene, it's a lived experience and part of your story. I believe art should be deeply personal, and I hope that pouring myself back into these memories gives them life beyond mine and creates a bond between the viewer and myself. 

Carolyn Propst lives and works in Atlanta, GA, right around the corner from her parent's home. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2019 with a BFA in Painting from the University of Georgia and opened her own studio in 2020.
