Collection: Summer Sketches
When I was little, I thought hauling a cooler around to make a lemonade stand sounded like a lot of work. So I would go up to the top of my driveway, flip a recycling bin over, lay a towel over it, and sell sketches to anyone who walked by. Which was not a lot of people considering we live on a small cul-de-sac. Hopefully this digital art stand reaches you, even if you're not one of my seven neighbors.
These pieces are made with love and sweat (because painting outside is not as glamorous as it sounds) and all the feelings of summer. A cold outdoor shower on sunburned shoulders, new freckles, watching the afternoon storm roll in over the mountains from the screen porch. Diet Coke over ice and Corona with lime and fresh vegetables from the garden and grilled shrimp. Saltwater in your nose or lake water in your hair, palm trees rustling at night or fireflies lighting the way home. Wherever y'all are, I hope this summer feels like your best friend just got their driver's license and the keys to a red 1992 Tahoe with a broken passenger door handle.
HAGS never change :)
